Nelson Choral Singers & Cottonwood Singers
Two choirs, one choral celebration!
Saturday December 9, 7:30 pm and Sunday December 10, 2:00 pm

Two of Nelson’s vibrant choirs join forces in a joyful choral concert to banish the December darkness. Kathleen Neudorf directs the 50-strong Nelson Choral Singers, while Noémi Kiss leads the 30 Cottonwood Singers. The choral playlist from the Nelson Choral Singers includes a mix of contemporary classical numbers featuring the life-affirming pieces of Welsh composer Karl Jenkins. Christoph Martens is the accompanist. Cottonwood offers up a fun, rhythmic and beautiful collection of gospel songs accompanied by some of Nelson’s best jazz musicians: David Restivo, Stephen Parish, Rob Fahie and vocal soloist Aryn Sheriff. The choirs perform separately but also fill the stage for a couple of numbers en masse. Come in from the cold and enjoy this choral fusion!
