The British Columbia launch of classical guitarist Emma Rush’s new album, A Dream of Colour, inspired by the paintings of William Blair Bruce. In 2020 Rush commissioned seven new works from Canadian composers to create a repertoire for solo guitar that explores Bruce’s artistic practice and shares the magic of his paintings through sound. The result is a stunning collection of music by Amy Brandon, Christine Donkin, Dale Kavanagh, Jeffrey McFadden, Daniel Mehdizadeh, Craig Visser, and Christina Volpini. Hear these pieces performed alongside beautiful projections of Bruce’s paintings in BC for the first time.
