Join Allison along with guitarist Mike Rud, pianist Dave Restivo, bassist Jill McKenna, and violinist Don Macdonald for a celebration of themes of duality: Loss and love, freedom and captivity, chaos and hope, waking and dreaming, dark and light.

Songs with poetry by Langston Hughes and Sara Bareilles, songs by Billie Eillish and about Harriet Tubman, songs in English and Yorubá, and, for good measure, some Joni Mitchell and Björk…

Allison Girvan is an internationally respected Canadian singer and choral director known for her exploration of songs spanning genre, style and language. She has been a featured soloist in performance and recordings with ensembles including music intima, the CBC Vancouver Orchestra, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, members of the San Francisco Opera Orchestra and is a vocalist for studio sessions for T.V. and feature film. In addition to being a past collaborator with Canadian Celtic Tenor, John McDermott and frequent collaborator with composer, Don Macdonald, Allison has recorded 3 solo albums – “Resonance”, “Fishing By The Light of the Ancestors” and the most recent concept album of her staged production, “Quintessence”.
